“The danger in wanting to stop trying is that you might be left behind by those who are pressing on.”
I don’t know how your mind works but if you are often intimidated by disappointments and setbacks, you may want to maintain the status quo instead of going forward to fulfil your dreams. When we are all excited about what we want to achieve but we don’t seem to have the right results or make some progress for a change, the tendency is to see what we can do to remain in our comfort zone and continue playing safe. That would not be a wise thing to do. Instead of trying to play safe, do play forward!
Listen to Apostle Paul who was very effective in his life and career. “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Paul was focused on his targets and not his misses. Don’t let failure stop you from reaching out to your goals. Don’t relent in aiming towards your high goals and learning what you must do to go forward. The danger in wanting to stop trying is that you might be left behind by those who are pressing on.
I always ensure that I don’t think of giving up but I am always looking for ways to find the solution, to see why things are not working the way I want , and if I am being passive about my role in bringing about my results. This is why I am saying that you have to keep pressing on and do it intelligently, passionately and with great hope to achieve.
